Yay, found my first ripe strawberry on my pathetic little strawberry plant.  It was delicious!  Can't wait for the rest to ripen!

March 6th

Tomorrow marks the release of book number three, Genesis.  Awesome!  Also, somebody dressed up a junky lot off Melrose that I drive by every day with some old doors and a chair that have been painted in bright colors.  Nice that someone took the time to make a trashy lot look pretty!

March 2nd

Saw an old man today, probably late 50s, early 60s, trying to learn to skateboard down La Brea.  He was all decked out in knee and elbow pads, plus a helmet and it was pretty obvious that he was new to the sport.  BUT props to him for giving it a shot!  I hope he gets the hang of it and I see him next week skating like a pro!! 

March 1st

Finally have my phone back in working order!  It took some conning, but managed to get my phone battery sent to me free of charge.  Go me!!

Leap Day!  On the way to work this morning I saw a woman on the street struggling with an armload of bags, trying to get the door to her apartment building open.  A jogger passing by stopped, held open the door for the woman then went on her way.  Nice to see some people still have the sense to stop and help a fellow human being, even if it's just for something as simple as holding open a door.

It is a fabulous rainy day today.  Thunder sounds on occasion and I'm enjoying it.  Plus, my new nephew was born over the weekend and got to see the first pictures of him this morning!  So exciting!

It's another beautiful day in So Cal.  My old buddy, Will is back working with me, at a whole other store and a buncha years later since the last time we worked together.  Good times.  Always nice to see an old friend you haven't seen in a long while.

It is such a beautiful day today!  And there are blossoms on my strawberry plant.  Maybe I'll get some strawberries this year.  I walk outside and it's warm, sunny and bright.  It's weather perfection!

Couldn't be happier - got the release date for my third novel.  March 7th.  I realized today that I really love - and I mean really love the characters I created.  I hope other people love them as much as I do.
